Dear Wildman Bob:

We would like to thank you for your recent generous contribution to our raffle held at the 26th annual Big Bear Shoot August 6-7, 2011, which was uniformly successful.  Due to the quality and appeal of the products you donated, we had an unprecedented level of interest in the raffle and sold more raffle tickets than ever before.

As previously communicated, the Big Bear Shoot is Cherry Valley Bowhunters’ largest and best-known fundraiser, attracting 400 shooters and their families annually and being the largest 3D archery tournament in Southern California the vast majority of our club’s funds for the year come from that weekend.  As a non-profit club, those funds allow us to introduce our sport to local youths in various ways.  We participate in Youth Safari Day at Raahauge’s Shooting Complex in Norco annually, where we host a very popular, hands-on archery booth.  Not only do we provide the bows and arrows, but our club members volunteer their time to demonstrate the fundamentals of archery to the over 1,100 youths who attend the event.  We also sponsor camp-outs for Boy Scout groups at our range, at which we provide equipment and hands-on instruction in archery techniques and safety.

We are immensely grateful that you chose to support our club’s activities through your donations this year, and wanted you to know just how much positive impact your generosity has had, and hope you will consider us again in the future.

Sincerely,

Kenneth D. Wagner, President
Ben Facer, Jeff Bahler, Steve Wagner-Raffle
